What does Jesus want for His people? If He really is God, and He really is the one who saves, that's an important question. And if we are His followers, we should know what Jesus wants, and we should want what Jesus wants. John 17 contains a prayer of Jesus to God the Father, and in that prayer Jesus reveals His desires. Do you want to know what Jesus wants for you? The answer can be found there.

"In this world you will have tribulation." Truer words have never been spoken. Life is hard, and everyone experiences difficulty and sorrow. But Jesus promises His people that "your sorrow will turn into joy." How can this be? Jesus tells us in this passage. Listen and be encouraged!

Jesus said to His disciples that He came "that they might have life, and have it to the full." That sounds great! But where does that life come from, and how do we get it? The key is something we don't talk about that much: union with Christ. This is mysterious, and kinda confusing...and WAY more glorious than we could possibly imagine. Listen and be encouraged!

Many people don't think that often about the Holy Spirit. We understand God the Father and Jesus Christ to an extent, but the third member of the Trinity can be confusing. In this passage we'll see how Jesus himself thought the Holy Spirit was hugely important, and just what a difference he makes in our lives. The Holy Spirit- not just for charismatic Christians!

If you had one opportunity to speak to your friends right before you died, what would you do? What would you tell them, one last time? Jesus had that opportunity. The night before He died He poured out His heart to His beloved disciples...and what He said in the Farewell Discourse (John 13-17) is nothing less than amazing. Where does He start? By talking about radical love. Listen and be encouraged!
