The oneness of hospitality is on the owner, to the provide the hospitality for the guests.

This is what we need to do with our church, take ownership of this church and provide hospitality. Hospitality opens up the way for others to experience the spirit of God.

It’s a gift to be used to expand the kingdom of heaven.

Stir it up fan it into flame the gift of hospitality that is within you.

As churches grow you don’t want to change from a church of hospitality to a place where you just entertain.

We need to make others feel at home like how Jesus was so willing to when He washes His discipleship’s feet

The difference between Paul and Silas's Jail break and Peter's jail break is that when the spirit of God showed up in the jail with Paul and Silas, EVERYONE'S chains fell off

We are a church that’s not built for its members

Not just for insiders but outsiders.. All people!

Us, the church should operate in a way that it provides a boost to those who walk through the door. We are not always conquering, sometimes we're enduring.


 Some of us will have to continue running with endurance, however the church should always maintain a culture of encouragement.

We must receive the encouragement that someone is trying to inject into us,

this is how people of faith gathering together build each other’s faith.

We must learn how to encourage ourselves,

through past experiences, breakthroughs, scripture and prayer.

God knows sometimes it’s easier to give something that’s not that valuable.

What about when your giving away something that does have a lot of value?

It’s harder..

There are 3 kinds of giving.

When it costs nothing

When it costs you a lot

When it holds no monetary value

This kind of giving makes a statement because it is unusual and yet could be very common..

eg. Giving up your time - maybe your Saturday morning to help someone else

Fasting is like this third type of giving.

Fasting:

Gets the attention of the Lord

Enhances spiritual awareness

Increase our Authority for ministry

We tend to want to try and avoid pressure in our life but pressure produces results.

To many look at the environment around us rather than the environment within us. We need to be people that are more conscious of the environment the Spirit creates inside us.

The Olive tree

Represents:

Peace and relationship - peace and friendship

Use of the Olive Tree:

The most prominent purpose - Olive Oil was pressed from the fruit the olive.

a. Olive Oil was the main ingredient to the anointing oil Arron was anointed with.

David anointed by Samuel no-one could deny they had been anointed

Anointed to be set apart for Gods purpose, it's the beginning of the purpose and calling. It's the empowering and enabling

b. Oil for burning in a lamp - light

We need to be continually connected to Him so that we can continue to burn and shine our light for Him.

Wisdom

Solomon is known for his Wisdom

Wisdom is so precious - ask for it seek after it, rub shoulders with others with wisdom, allow them to speak into your life!

Identify your oak trees.

2. Boundary markers - landmarks

Often found on the outskirts of cities, you need to take a step back and get a better perspective - get out of the hustle and bustle and drama of what’s happening in your life and seek some wisdom - find someone with wisdom.

Even Jesus often withdrew from the crowd to gain some perspective and wisdom from the father.

Identify your oak trees

Place them around your life so they keep you focused with perspective.

Greatest oak tree we will discover is the Lord!

The purpose of a fig tree is to satisfy anyones hunger.

Zacchaeus climbed a fig tree and encountered Jesus, he turned from a getter to a giver.

1. The fig tree represents a meeting place with Jesus

2. He is the God of the second and third and forth chance!

- Parable of the barren fig tree

3. He is serious about fruit!

- Parable of the talents

A good tree can’t produce bad fruit

Good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart!

Fill the whole earth with good fruit!
