Every parent wants to be a better parent.
Being a child today is not the same as it used to be.
It’s not doubt that’s toxic to faith, it’s silence.
“Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who receives; the one who seeks find; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
“ASK and it will be given to you, SEEK and you will find, KNOCK and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
“Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?”
Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”
He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.
“All right but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.
When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman.
Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”
Jesus seeks the truth.
Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”
Jesus: Ask – Seek – Knock
Humanity: Know – Assume - Defend
“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not!”
