In this message from our Samuel series, we look at Jonathan’s bold decision to stop hiding and start taking ground for God. While Saul chose self-preservation, Jonathan stepped into the unknown believing, “Perhaps the Lord will act on our behalf,” because nothing can hinder God from saving by many or by few.

We’re challenged to lay down the need to protect our comfort, image, time, and control, pick up our cross, and live for a purpose bigger than ourselves. When we surrender the “self-life” and keep climbing with Jesus, God can use even our smallest acts of obedience to impact our homes, workplaces, campuses, and communities. So live in the “perhaps”—because you never know what God may do through your next step of faith.

What makes God’s people distinct isn’t success, comfort, or achievement—it’s the presence of God. A kingless Christianity is a victoryless Christianity, because true freedom and transformation flow from living under His rule and reign. God has graciously invited us to the ultimate celebration—the Marriage Supper of the Lamb—but are we ready for the party? We cannot earn this kind of goodness through effort or religion—it begins when we receive God’s grace through faith in Jesus and are given a new heart. In this message, we learn that becoming gentle begins by coming under the yoke of Jesus, surrendering control to Him, and allowing Him to carry the weight we were never meant to carry. As we learn from Jesus, pride and self-righteousness give way to compassion, enabling us to see and care for the people around us the way He does.

We also discover that gentleness does not mean avoiding discipline, boundaries, or difficult conversations. Like Jesus, we are called to walk alongside others, help carry their burdens, and lovingly train them toward maturity.

No matter how bruised, weary, or hopeless you may feel today, Jesus invites you to come under His yoke, learn from Him, and find rest for your soul. His yoke is easy, His burden is light, and He is gentle.

What does it really mean to be patient when the rain hasn’t come, the situation hasn’t changed, and the waiting lasts longer than you expected?

In this message from James 5:7–11, we discover that biblical patience is more than simply waiting—it’s trusting God when we’re not in control, continuing to work when we don’t see results, and refusing to abandon hope when the journey gets long. Through the examples of the farmer, the prophets, and Job, we learn how God uses trials to mature us and make us more like Christ.

And ultimately, patience isn’t just about enduring difficult circumstances—it’s about loving and bearing with people. God calls us to become a bridge for others, patiently walking with them as He transforms their lives.
