What if your home is one of the greatest advantages God has given you?
In this message, Pastor Micaiah kicks off our new series, Home Field Advantage, with a powerful challenge for parents, families, and anyone who wants to build a home centered on Jesus.
Using the story of Jacob in Genesis 32, we’re reminded that we may not be able to control who our children become, but we can choose what kind of parents we become. Our homes have influence—and we have the opportunity to intentionally build a foundation of faith, prayer, biblical truth, boundaries, and family.
Pastor Micaiah challenges us to stop giving away the influence God has entrusted to us and to recognize that parenting is deeply spiritual. When we're less intentional, we're less influential. And sometimes loving our family means more than comforting them—it means being willing to correct, shape, and guide them.
The story of Jacob also reveals what happens when we stop trying to control everything and learn to cling to God. Jacob entered the night wrestling, but he came out changed. His greatest victory wasn't gaining more control—it was learning to depend on God.
Whether you're a parent, grandparent, single, married, or simply part of a family, this message is a reminder that your faith can make it past the front door.
