John saw and believed even though he was slow to grasp the implications of the resurrection. Mary Magdalene saw, and she confessed, -I have seen the Lord-- The evidence is indisputable. Apart from the Word of God itself, the truth of this resurrection is our transformed lives. Hallelujah- We have a New Story- -Unfortunately, many are still living under the old system. Some of us are reliving memories, and because we store our memories in images, you have a picture of an experience you would love to forget.

Christ so identifies with His people that when they are persecuted, He feels the pain. This attribute of Christ makes the cross more understandable to Saul. Jesus indeed did suffer for our sins at Calvary. This revelation overwhelms Saul with terror as he lies down. Then the voice instructs him to go into the city, where he will be told what to do. So, Saul enters Damascus as a blind man in fear and despair, reflecting his spiritual darkness.

When Barnabas hears Saul out and takes him by the hand, he demonstrates his faith in God's transforming power. He says to Saul and to the world, I get you-I feel your pain-I understand what you are going through-you are safe with me-this is what can encourage others to be part of God's Family. -If the apostles believe in God's power to save and transform any life, they don't show it until Barnabas does.

Philip has seen God direct him by His Holy Spirit through persecution, but he also understands that God has many ways. So, when an angel of the Lord tells Philip to go, he obeys without asking questions. -Because Philip is sensitive to the Holy Spirit, he is open to God's voice and is willing to be used by God anywhere and in any way.
