Part 17 - Genesis 24

In this episode of our Genesis series we see Abraham’s servant charged with an almost insurmountable task of finding a wife for Isaac from among Abraham’s relatives. We walk through the journey the servant took and especially his trust in the Lord to bring about a suitor for Isaac. Join us as we see God continue to show his unfailing love to Abraham, his servant and his son.

Today we come to the climax of the story of Abraham and his journey to trust Yahweh - the great test of his faith through the call to sacrifice Isaac. The deep riches and treasures of this passage cannot be conveyed fully in any message. Join us as we explore and drink deeply of the wisdom of God.

​​​ We are continuing our series through Genesis and growing our understanding of Biblical literacy. This week we dive into more of Abraham’s life. Up until now we have seen a man who humbly has listened to and followed this God he is only just learning about. Now we start to see the humanity of Abraham and yet the kindness and faithfulness of God.

Genesis 18-19

This week we come to a peculiar conversation that Abraham has with God as God is poised to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. This causes us to stop and as “Is this really a God of love? Or is this a God of war and destruction? Join us as we listen and consider this hugely important topic in our hearts and minds and culture.

Genesis 12-17

Today we resume our series on Genesis and start the second half of Genesis where we introduce Abram and explore this incredible start and growth of a relationship of trust in Yahweh, and His plan to change the world through him. Join us and consider!

John 18-21

In this final part of the series on John we come to see how Jesus is truly what we needed all along. Though He asks us to give up to Him our entire lives it turns out that He will take what leads to death and give us ACTUAL life. Join us and consider.

This week we move to the final passover dinner Jesus shared with His disciples and the incredible talk he shared. This is commonly called the upper room discourse. Join us as we continue to gaze at Jesus and be amazed and challenged and loved.

Summary:Today we kick off a short series for Lent and Easter 2018 at SouthSide. We will be exploring the book of John over 4 weeks including Easter.
