Our teaching from Habakkuk this week was written and filmed before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia had taken place – shifting our collective focus from the pandemic to this great calamity in eastern Europe. Please be aware that the encouragements and application points within this week’s message were not written specifically about the tragedy that is now unfolding there. We pray for the people of Ukraine as they endure this assault on their nation and we pray that God would bring His peace to that region.

It feels like we’re living in increasingly difficult times. Uncertainty and conflict are pervasive in our world and in our personal lives. In light of that, we’re going to study the short Old Testament book of Habakkuk. We’re looking at Habakkuk because it tells us how to face difficult and even evil times - whether they’re your own individual challenging times (because everyone goes through very bad times), or society-wide testing times. Whether the times we face are uplifting or difficult, if you understand what the book of Habakkuk says, you’ll be ready for anything.
