It is a wonderful thing to come to the realization that God is for you and with you. But how do we now begin to live in light of this fact when life's troubles come and seem to cloud this truth? In this passage we see some answers to this question as we see Jacob begin to live in light of his vision of the angel filled ladder. Jacob now knows that God is with him no matter where he goes, but as we will see, that doesn't mean that everything will be perfect.

When God reveals Himself there will always be a response by man whether that response is right or wrong. In this passage we see Jacob's immediate response to God's revelation of Himself in the dream He gave to Jacob. In this sermon Brother Tracey breaks down each part of Jacob's response and shows how we can apply this to our own lives and thus seek to rightly respond to God's revelation of Himself to us.

The song "Glorious Christ" that is referenced in this sermon is by Sovereign Grace Music. It can be listened to here: https://sovereigngracemusic.bandcamp.com/track/glorious-christ

In this passage God gives Jacob a dream in which he sees a ladder stretching from heaven to earth with angels ascending and descending upon it. This dream was a rare glimpse into the spiritual realm given by God to Jacob. In this sermon Brother Tracey looks at not only this special vision of Jacob but the spiritual eyesight of all those in this story.

Nobody walks in perfect faith. The stories of the patriarchs prove that out. In the story of Jacob's deception of Isaac we see an entire family living out varying degrees of faith and lack of faith. In this sermon Brother Tracey explores these varying faiths and the lessons we can learn for our own walks of faith.

Genesis 26:12-33

Genesis 26:1-11

The life of Isaac and now his son Jacob give us excellent examples of what the blessing of God on a person looks like. In this sermon Brother Tracey continues to explore the subject of the blessing of God by looking at 3 more characteristics of that blessing when it comes to a person.
