It is a wonderful thing to come to the realization that God is for you and with you. But how do we now begin to live in light of this fact when life's troubles come and seem to cloud this truth? In this passage we see some answers to this question as we see Jacob begin to live in light of his vision of the angel filled ladder. Jacob now knows that God is with him no matter where he goes, but as we will see, that doesn't mean that everything will be perfect.

When God reveals Himself there will always be a response by man whether that response is right or wrong. In this passage we see Jacob's immediate response to God's revelation of Himself in the dream He gave to Jacob.
