Founded in 2008, GIY educates communities and schools about the benefits of growing their food. Mick is the Producer of “Grow Cook Eat,” a TV series available on Amazon Prime, and the author of The GIY Diaries: A Year of Growing and Cooking. He was the 2017 Local Food Hero in the Food & Wine Awards and an awardee of ReThink Ireland, Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, and the Arthur Guinness Fund.
