This is the second session of Synthpoem, a poetic experiment for the body.
Once again, it features poems by the French-Lebanese poet Andrée Chedid.
This time, the tempo ranges between 160 and 185 BPM, allowing for natural breath adjustment and rhythmic steps during aerobic exercise—or a brisk walk through the night.

Voici la deuxième session de Synthpoem, une expérience poétique pour le corps.
On y retrouve, une fois de plus, les poèmes de la poétesse franco-libanaise Andrée Chedid.
Le rythme varie cette fois entre 160 et 185 BPM, idéal pour ajuster naturellement la respiration lors d’un exercice aérobie, ou pour marcher d’un bon pas dans la nuit.

A perdre regard
To the point of losing sight

Ils vont
They go

Au point de ne plus être
To the point of no longer being

Ils étaient cependant
Yet they were

J'existais

Dans le cerne de toute chair
Into the shadow of all flesh

Dans la maison des yeux
Into the house of eyes

Dans l'amour vulnérable

Chaque naissance t'a élu

【About the Poet and the Poem】
Andrée Chedid (1920–2011) was a Lebanese-French poet, novelist, and playwright whose work spans themes of exile, resilience, the body, and inner renewal. Born in Cairo to a Lebanese Christian family and later settled in Paris, her multilingual background shaped her deep sensitivity to language and identity. Celui qui va is emblematic of Chedid’s poetic voice—tender yet existential, rooted in human mortality and spiritual persistence. The poem weaves intimate reflections on life, death, love, and rebirth, drawing from elemental images like breath, fire, and movement.
