This was requested by a few people. Many people including me were curious as to how Windows Server 2003 ran on the Compaq, so I gave Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition R2 SP3 a spin on a partition separate from my Windows 2000 installation. There are some interesting differences from Windows XP. Some pleasant, some not (like incompatibility with most free antivirus software). It also runs quite differently from Windows XP on the Compaq. There were still a couple of annoying problems.

September 21, 2025 Inductor as Wireless Power Receiver
In 2020 I was sent a wireless Qi charger base station but I didn't have anything that could make use of it. I found that one of my junk bin inductors could be used to power a microcontroller and a few LEDs. Surprisingly this worked in spite of the lack of any Qi compliant power negotiation circuitry.
