Jack Dorsey, co-founder of Twitter (now X), has launched a new messaging app called BitChat. But why another app in such a crowded space? The answer lies in how BitChat works—and how it’s different from WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal.

Unlike traditional apps, BitChat doesn’t need servers or even an internet connection. It uses Bluetooth to send messages directly between users, forming a peer-to-peer (P2P) mesh network. Messages hop across multiple users until they reach the recipient, making the system decentralized, censorship-resistant, and more reliable.

i made this track in OpenMPT back in high school for that one music theory class i took one semester

i remembered it while trying to compose a theme for a stage in support mage RPG, and i think i'll remake this for the game instead of coming up with something new.
