I finally got this song out of my head! I've been listening to Sonic OSTs this week, all since I finished playing Sonic and the Black Knight, and the one series that has caught my interest the most is Sonic Riders. I keep hearing that the last entry in the series (Free Riders) was awful, but I wouldn't know.
Since I own the game this song originally comes from, and since I loved Catch Me If You Can so much, I first thought of remixing that one, but when I came upon the "Extended Electro" version of Cashell's "UnGravitify" I instantly fell in love with it and figured I'd rather do that one instead.
It was HARD, mostly since it was one of those where I had to figure every part of the instrumental myself (just like Disco Head), along with the fact that there aren't any Lyric stems available anywhere on the internet, so i had to find a way to extract them myself.
The arrangement wasn't too much of a big deal; I only needed to reference the vocals so as to make them smoothly fit into the instrumental patterns I'd previously made.
Mastering the vocals, on the other hand, was pretty complicated: the extraction process lowered the quality of the vocals significantly, so I had to improvise: EQ, Reverb, Delay and a second, lower-pitched vocal track (the one at the end of the song) were all added so as to try and keep the lyrics from sounding dirty.
