Was originally made with the intent of being part of a longer, finished animation down the line. The canvas size was larger than 1920x1080 to potentially incorporate camera movements.

Animated within 2 weeks for Cake Station's June 2022 fight animation choreography contest. The theme for that month was "non-stop fight." For this there had to be a minimum duration of uninterrupted fight choreography. While there were no rules regarding cuts, I incidentally animated most of the scene in a single cut. Animated in OpenToonz.

The premise of this one was a reimagining of the confrontation between Shadow and Tails in Season 3 of Sonic X. I never liked how Sonic X treated Tails' character compared to the games, so this was a sort of "how would the fight play out if Tails was more like his game counterpart".

The dialogue is... not very great. I'd certainly rewrite it.

This is the second movement of the Elemental Symphony suite. Much heavier and abrasive than Aquatic Symphony, it takes influence from the post-metal and drone metal genres. Mutant Disco is the B-side to the Flame Symphony single. Much more catchy and danceable but still a little freaky. Or maybe a lot.

This is the third single for my upcoming mini-album and suite Elemental Symphonies. It's divided into two parts: "The Natural World" and "The Modern World." It also displays a bit of musique concrète with the extensive use of audio samples. My main influences were Oh Yeah and Halleluhwah by Can from Tago Mago, 21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson from In The Court of the Crimson King, and In A Silent Way by Miles Davis from the album of the same name.

Also, not long after releasing Flame Symphony but before I got sidetracked by working on the S.A.M. record, I listened to the song Two Horses by Black Country New Road from their new album and I noticed the structure of that track was coincidentally similar to what I wanted to do with this track with the calm first half followed by a chaotic second half. Listen to that track (and listen to the whole album because BCNR are one of the best bands active right now) after listening to mine.

I decided to expand my short 'symphony', 'Eras of Life', into separate geological periods. This 'Palaeozoic Suite' starts with the 'Precambrian' movement, followed by six movements that represent the Cambrian, Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, and Permian periods of the Palaeozoic Era.

This is the first movement of the Elemental Symphonies suite and first promotional single. It was inspired by the album Future Days by Can. I'm a newer fan of Can and Future Days definitely is my favorite Can album. The closing track, Bel Air, is probably my favorite Can song ever. There's also more than a bit of a hint of Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream in there.

Anyways, back to this track. I wanted it to have a murky, underwater-like sound. The water heard throughout was sampled from the pool at the dorms I live in.

The Island is the B-side to Aquatic Symphony. Combining a Fripp and Eno-styled drone with reggae drum beats and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Quite a unique one.
