Loosely inspired by the Chemical Brothers song "Where Do I Begin". I had planned to animate it by cycling it through different palettes, but it didn't work out the way I wanted. Probably not the last thing I will do based on this song! Created in Pixelorama.

I used a different method of capturing the frames for the timelapse this time so it is just the canvas. Less jumping around, but it is a bit hard to tell that anything is happening when I am doing the anti-aliasing!

I received this inexpensive network cable tester (RJ45 and RJ11/12) in the last mailbag, and I was curious how it worked, so it's time to tear it apart.

Turns out it's a lot simpler than I expected.

Wie unterschiedlich Hornissenvölker sein können, zeigt sich hier. Zu Beginn dieser Woche tauchten an der W8-Zuckertanke neue Individuen auf, die statt friedlich neben den Hummeln zu sitzen, nach der Maxime "wenn ich es nicht haben kann, soll es keiner haben" verfahren. Das praktizieren sie nicht nur gegenüber den Hummeln, sondern auch untereinander. Da ist selbst die kleine Asienhornisse (vorne schwarz, hinten gelb) ratlos.

С графского заброшенного спиртзавода я бодро рванул на Германовичи, до которых было вроде бы всего ничего. И через полтора часа... снова вернулся в Лужки, на место старта. Потому что лесную дорогу, по которой я собирался проехать параллельно трассе, богато засыпали песком. Зато нашёл ещё один водопадик, нигде не обозначенный. А потом пришлось тянуть ещё около сорока километров на подъём, потому что до святого родничка встать на ночёвку было просто негде...

From abandoned distillery I rushed briskly to Hermanovichi, which seemed to be only a short distance away. And after an hour and a half... back to Luzhki, the starting point. Because the forest road, on which I was going to pass parallel to the highway, was richly filled with sand. But I found another waterfall, not marked anywhere. And then I had to climb about forty kilometers more, because there was nowhere to spend the night before the holy spring...
