  • Back pain and Music! 🎵 #shorts #pain #rap #music

Feeling a lot of INTENSE BACK PAIN right now, so I decided to do what any sane, rational, person would do and jumped off an extremely high object. Most likely making it immensely worse, then being hunched over so you can see me in the camera.

You wouldn't believe how far up the thing I jumped off of was lol. I thought I was going to die, my basement floor is concrete you know? So, ya I am starting my CAMPAIGN against BACK PAIN! Every 1 sub or like from this short will be 1 back pain I squash. So be sure to do all of that corny YouTube stuff guys! COME ON let's do this.

Finally, I am planning on recording my first official music video tomorrow. That is if I don't forget and feel like it. Also if my truck doesn't fall apart while I drive to a location, that won't happen right, right guys?

So, stay HYPED my disciples, hopefully, the next time you see GOD Alex Gilbert is outside recording a music video!

Shout out to JupiterSoundz for making the background instrumental!

  • Tinkering with distance sensors

I received a vl53l1x laser distance sensor in the mail a few weeks ago, so let's see what it can do. And compare it to the common ultrasonic distance sensor.

Here are some of the tutorials I used to supply code for this video:

    https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-vl53l1x/arduino

    https://core-electronics.com.au/guides/piicodev-distance-sensor-vl53l1x-raspberry-pi-pico-guide/

And this is where I bought the vl53l1x laser distance sensor, if you're interested in picking one up to play with : https://pileofstuff.ca/r/phx9c

This isn't the only way to do it.

It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I did it.

  • 36.0 Echos / Echo #26 - Please Tell Us How We Did Today

This echo was recorded (on my phone) and edited today June 26, 2025. As usual, best listened on headphones.

A stop at Shoppers Drug Mart.
On my way from work to the store, I noticed something interesting: because I was recording, I was very attuned to the sounds around me and how I sensed those sounds, the 3D, spatialized aspect of it. When I walk in the streets, I usually don't pay much attention to my surroundings, shutting the world out, so it was quite a different experience.
I guess you don't need to go to the other side of the world to travel, sometimes you just have to pay attention to what's around you.
