This is my submission for the Tracklib competition for a placement opportunity with Royce da 5'9". The rules were to use any sample from Tracklib's library.

I went for a bit more of a boom bap approach, but still laid 808s all over it and couldn't help from adding some synths, most of which are recorded from my Arturia Microfreak hardware synth. The result is a fusion of boom bap, trap and electronica, so I think trip hop may be the best category to describe this. Heavy influences from artists like Kanye, RJD2, Gramatik.
