The Tex Murphy series' 3rd installment was one of the early 90s biggest FMV gambles, and it's arguably one of the few FMV games that managed to balance gameplay and full motion video. Tex must stop a doomsday cult with nothing but his wits while his mentor strains the sauce.

The Tex Murphy series started with this incredibly ambitious game in 1989, Mean Streets. It tells the story of a hard-boiled P.I. trying to solve the murder of a scientist while contending with mutants, sleazy corporate douchebags, and the most infuriating flight sim of all time.
