In our 133rd episode (Get a mammogram) we talk about the importance of mammography in the early detection of breast cancer in women, the value of mammography as a reliable diagnostic test, the recommended age to begin screening and about other complementary imaging tests that may help to establish an accurate diagnosis in women with dense breast tissue or other problems. En nuestro episodio número 133 (Hazte una mamografía) hablamos con Michael Curtin, radiólogo, sobre la importancia de la mamografía en la detección temprana del cáncer de mama en las mujeres, del valor de la mamografía como prueba diagnóstica fiable a partir de una cierta edad, así como de otras pruebas complementarias que pueden ayudar a establecer un diagnóstico fiable en caso de haber problemas o tejido denso en el seno de una mujer. Michael ha tenido la amabilidad de mantener esta conversación con nosotros enteramente en español, por lo que podréis seguir todo el diálogo en esta lengua.

Recordad, es la misma dinámica del episodio anterior:

- escucháis la sintonía, el tema central de la serie

- Y

- pensáis cuál es el título de la serie

Así matamos dos pájaros de un tiro; aprendéis a adivinar el título de la serie mediante pistas de lenguaje, estrictamente, y al mismo tiempo, con las más sencillas, también reforzáis la capacidad para definirlas. Nada más, que lo paséis estupendo.

In our 131st episode (Clue Game) we are going to play a game in which we are giving you some clues about some TV Shows in order you can guess which are them. As we were working on the last episode, we thought that it would be very useful for your spanish to make this guessing game. We give you four clues as well as the TV main theme of several TV Shows and we let you discover the title. Some of them are so simple that they become the definition itself of the show but even in that case we think it will be very useful to practice your spanish. We hope that you learn a lot but most important you enjoy with us with this wonderful memories of these mythical TV Show.

In our 130th episode (TV Shows) we are are going to have a conversation in order to analyze the phenomenon of tv series, series that have raised incredibly their quality and variety in the last twenty years. We will talk mostly about american tv shows that have been a worldwide success, and we’ll try to analyze the keys of this so called revolution.

En nuestro episodio número 130 (TV Shows) vamos a mantener una conversación para analizar el fenómeno de las series televisivas, cuya calidad y variedad han experimentado un auge sin precedentes en los últimos veinte años. Hablaremos básicamente de series americanas que han sido un éxito extraordinario en las televisiones de todo el planeta, e intentaremos analizar las claves de esto que tantas veces se ha llamado revolución en la televisión.

In our 129th episode (Susan is progressing with her Spanish), María and Susan continue their linguistic exchange. In our last episode (128th, Dar caña), we worked on the first part of the dialogue of our two friends. In this new episode we are going to study the second part where María gives some recommendations to Susan to move faster with her Spanish, using impersonal verb forms followed by the subjunctive. You'll see how you will have understood it so perfectly at the end of the episode and how you will know to use it without problems.

En nuestro anterior episodio (128, Dar caña), trabajamos la primera parte del diálogo de nuestras dos amigas. En este nuevo episodio, estudiamos la 2ª parte, en la que María le hace a Susan una serie de recomendaciones para avanzar más deprisa con su español, usando formas verbales impersonales seguidas de subjuntivo. Ya veréis cómo al final del episodio lo habréis entendido perfectamente y sabréis usarlo sin problemas.

Hello dear friends, and welcome to Spanish Podcast. I'm Mercedes and I am from Barcelona. In our 128th episode (I want to give me sugar cane), Susan and María have today another exchange. Susan is worried because he believes that progresses very slowly with her Spanish. Miguel wants to introduce his family and Susan wants to be fluent in the home of Miguel with his family. Susan asks for help to María and she gives good advices to progress faster.

In our 127th episode (My steak, rare please), Paco and Luisa have a business lunch today. They are going to finish negotiating a contract of their respective companies. They'll go to lunch at a restaurant downtown, famous for its delicious steaks. They'll tell the waiter how they want their own steak.

In our 126th episode (Me estoy enamorando), Maria and Susan make an exchange to improve their respective languages: Maria wants to improve her English, and Susan wants to improve her Spanish. Today Susan is telling Maria she met a guy from Barcelona, Michael, who loves and who she believes is falling in love with him. Let´s go listen to their conversation.

In our 125th episode, we are again with one of our couple of friends, Jorge and Silvia, who met in 58th episode (Damn Holidays). Now is a Saturday morning and the couple is having breakfast. Silvia just found in the paper a test to detect one of diseases of our time: work addiction. She passes the test to George and writes down his replies. We can see if George is or not a workaholic.

En nuestro episodio número 125, estamos de nuevo con una de nuestras parejas amigas, Jorge y Silvia, a quienes conocimos en el episodio 58 (Malditas vacaciones). Hoy es un sábado por la mañana y la pareja está desayunando. Silvia acaba de encontrar en el periódico un test para detectar una de las enfermedades de nuestro tiempo: la adicción al trabajo. Le pasa el test a Jorge y va anotando las respuestas de éste. Podremos comprobar si Jorge es, o no, un adicto al trabajo, un “trabajohólico”.

In our 124th (In the hairdressing salon), Luisa goes to the hairdressing salon with the intention of changing her look. The spring causes her many physical and psychological problems, she is more tired, no energy for anything, a little depression ... and also when she looks in the mirror, she sees herself homely, dull, unattractive. Luisa needs an injection of self-esteem and she wants to start by his hair, which is a mess. Then we will see ...
