- Conversion rate
A conversion rate records the percentage of users who have completed a desired action. Conversion rates are calculated by taking the total number of users who 'convert' (for example, by clicking on an advertisement), dividing it by the overall size of the audience and converting that figure into a percentage.
Let me give you an example... if I have a landing page... that gets 1000 visitors per month and 10 people turn into customers then I have a conversion rate of %
5 / 1000 X 100 = 1%
Nooooowww let's work backwards...
I want to make a $100k dollars this year.
$100k / 12 = $8333
Let's just say on this aforementioned landing page I sell a thing for $100
Therefore I need to sell 84 of those things.
Well... I just worked out that my LP converts at 1%
So if 1% is 84 sales... this tells me by working backwards that I need 8400 people to land on my landing page.
Am I doing enough to get 8400 people to land on my web page?
- How this all tells you exactly what you need to do in your business.
- You don't need to spend money on a fancy CRM , use a free google spreadsheet or write it in your notebook... just do it
