In this episode, we have François' friend François Carl on with us to discuss how we consume music nowadays. We go into streaming vs buying physical copies of albums; whether they be in CD format or vinyl format. François Carl is a vinyl collector who enjoys the rarity of pressings and he tells us about the different types of collectors that exist according to him. Lili has always liked collecting CDs and enjoys it even more now that she got into K-pop because they come with a lot of goodies. As for François, he does not really consider himself a collector, though he does own a few "collector items".

This week, we've got Lili's friend Kim here to discuss where we used to discover music versus where we discover music now. We go back in time and reminisce the old times of exchanging cassettes, cutting out articles in newspapers and magazine, the beginning of the illegal downloading era all the way to the current era with Spotify. Lili and Kim also get into how they met through mutual bands on MySpace back in 2009.

In this month's extra episode, we're featuring a continuation of our conversation with Gabe from Outbreak Productions. Once we wrapped up the episode with him, we continued chatting and found the things he had to say to be very interesting! We talk about venues a bit more and why bands tend to skip Quebec.

In the episode of our webzine "behind the scenes" series, we finally have Christine on to talk about the beginnings of CONFRONT. She was the co-founder of the magazine along with Angel Karmazenuk (who we sadly couldn't have on because of scheduling complications) so we got a direct look at how the magazine came to be and how they made their connections at the early stages. We've also got quite a few 30 Seconds To Mars stories thrown in there because they were a big part of the reason CONFRONT magazine exists.

In the episode of our webzine "behind the scenes" series, we discuss Jenia and Melissa's experiences and memories. They joined CONFRONT as correspondants a little before Lili and towards the end, took over as co-editors in chief so we got to discuss the management side of the magazine with them on top of the interview stories!

In this episode of our webzine "behind the scenes" series, we have Anne-Marie Maccio & Marie Claire Denis on to talk about their experiences with CONFRONT magazine. Anne-Marie used to be a correspondant and also helped manage the French section of the magazine towards the end, while Marie Claire was (and still is!) for the most part a concert photographer, though she did sometimes write pieces for the magazine.

This time, François & Lili delve into their first favorite bands and it ties into a lot of what was discussed in their musical journeys episode. Hear some of François' stories about his love of Pink Floyd and Lili's teenage years and friendships forged over Simple Plan.

To begin this new series, François took on the role of sole host to interview Lili & talk about her experience working for an online music magazine about 10 years ago.
