Episode 93: One Shot, One Take. Very few feature films of any genre can boast having been made with one continuous single camera take from beginning to end. We’ve talked about one in the past, One Cut Of The Dead (2017), and this week discuss another, as well as an imposter. Victoria (2015), Silent House (2011).

Episode 92: Wintry Mix. A chill settles over the snowbound SAE, bringing long nights, winter storms, and freezing conditions. And that’s the good part. Frozen (2010), 30 Days of Night (2007).

Episode 91: Jennifers. SAE tells a tale of two Jens, examining two films with a lot in common and a lot uncommon. Jennifer’s Body (2009), Revenge (2018).

Episode 90: Remakes 2. Back for a second serving of twice baked dishes that taste like original recipe and prove the horror pudding. Nosferatu The Vampyre (1979), Dawn Of The Dead (2004).

Episode 89: Remakes. Make, remake, repeat. Horror film remakes are handed down through generations like traditional folklore but with higher value title properties. If it worked once, it could work again as SAE audits two remade classics for redundancy and delivers familiar findings. The Hills Have Eyes (2006), Evil Dead (2013).

Episode 88: Sam Raimi. A giant among horror filmmakers on the strength very few horror films, Raimi’s place in the canon reflects the continuing impact and influence of his work on generations of fans, filmmakers, and the genre itself. Evil Dead 2 (1987), Drag Me To Hell (2009).

Episode 87: Hillbilly Horror. Deep in the backwoods and up in the hills, you might find some folks don't take too kindly to city slickers. If you're headed downriver, don't forget your bow and arrow, don't try to make friends with the banjo player, and mind your business. Deliverance (1972), Wrong Turn (2021).

Episode 86: Nazi Punks F*ck Off. The only good Nazi is an undead Nazi when SAE takes a look at the Norwegian aryan zombie blood bath, Dead Snow (2009) and the instant classic skinhead punk horror of Green Room (2016).
