Inspired & Self-Motivated. The idea that inspiration comes externally is absolutely true. Anybody can inspire me. Anything can inspire me. However, it is only up to me to motivate myself. No one else can motivate me. Nothing outside of me can provide motivation.
Motivation is intrinsic. That’s why I need to work on why and how I should be inspired and self-motivated as part of my healing process. Though people can inspire me toward inner healing, that is only one part of the journey. How I receive inspiration from people or situations is secondary. What’s most important is how I cultivate self-motivation even if inspired or not. PGE

What Does The Bible Say About Being Both Inspired & Self-Motivated?
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:24–27, ESV)

Emotional health and spirituality are deeply interconnected for followers of Jesus, offering a holistic approach to personal growth. Maturity is a continuous process of development, involving becoming fully developed in mind, body, and soul, and reflecting stability, depth, and inner security. Spiritual growth takes time, as believers are initially “spiritual babes” who gradually mature. Jesus invites followers to a mature, self-giving life of love, where one’s capacity to love becomes the best measure of spiritual maturity, and learning to walk in the Spirit allows Christ’s love to flow through them.

Why do the toughest struggles we face often come not from the world around us, but from within ourselves? (where stress, envy, and the weight of past mistakes quietly wage war in our minds?
Internal obstacles prove as formidable as external ones: sinful nature and the memory of past failures1 represent significant barriers to becoming a better version of ourselves. The human disposition naturally harbors strife, suspicion, and envy. These destructive inner states that undermine progress. These internal enemies are particularly insidious because they operate within us, shaping how we respond to challenges and opportunities.
