On the Season 2 finale of the Speak Up Sports Podcast, I am joined with 3x Olympic Medalist, Cat Osterman. Cat, a lefty pitcher, was a 4x NFCA All-American, 4x Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, and 3x National Player of the Year in her collegiate career as a Texas Longhorn. She retired in 2015, but then decided to come out of retirement to compete in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Now that she is retired for the last and final time, she is helping coach the next generation of softball players as the Director of Softball at RBI Austin, a non-profit who is working to provide opportunities for underprivileged kids in Texas. Today, we will be talking about how she got into pitching, what her early career was like, why she came out of retirement for her third Olympic Games, and so much more!
