Dr Hsien-Hsien Lei is currently the CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and also an adjunct associate professor at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. A public health scientist by training, Hsien's career has spanned the scientific, clinical, and commercial sides of healthcare from bench research to epidemiology and healthcare communications, previously holding senior positions as VP of Medical and Scientific Affairs at Medtronic Asia Pacific, as well as General Manager at Ogilvy Health. Hsien has lived in the US, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan, the UK, and is now based in Singapore with her husband and two children. I sat down with Hsien to dig deep into her personal story and her motto of "Don't look back". What is Hsien most like at home? What does success look like to her? And speaking of the gut, was there a time when she listened to her own instincts and that changed the course of her life?
