We sat down with Greg Sadler, whose philosophy content has supported a meteoric rise of having over 100K subscribers on Youtube.

In the interview, we discuss his path into philosophy, how people can put it into practice, and what keeps Greg churning out great content on a wide variety of subjects within philosophy. What was his initial spark into philosophy? When did he choose to want other things besides purely teaching?

As one of the best content producers for philosophy content, it was great asking him personal questions about the study. In fact, he talks about how he uses philosophy to deal with anger management issues that he has, and how he prescribes different branches of philosophy to people dealing with different issues.

Despite the popular misconception of overnight success, the majority of success stories come from grinding and love. Without those two ingredients, few survive the perilous path.

Teddy Roosevelt put it beautifully, "Comparison is the thief of joy." Indeed, as this podcast lays out, life is more about staying focused on your lane and tuning out the noise that has no bearing on you. More importantly, question the mental models in your head about what "successful" is defined as.

In commemoration of Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, we spoke with Israeli historian Benny Morris.

Although Benny is mostly known for his work on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, alongside co-author Dror Ze'evi they decided to turn their attention to another arena of Middle Eastern history: Turkey. As Morris and Ze'evi argue in their latest book, The Thirty-Year Genocide, the Ottoman Empire pursued a decades-long campaign against Christian minority groups including Greeks, Assyrians, and most notably, Armenians.

Despite being a difficult subject matter, the book is a must-read for those interested in learning - in unfortunately intimate detail - the vast evidence supporting the claim that the Ottoman Empire pursued a genocidal policy against Armenian communities.

Pinchas Gutter is a Holocaust survivor, community activist, and documentarian. In 2014, President Barack Obama Speaking at the Shoah Foundation Humanity Gala quoted Pinchas, at length. Obama said as follows:

“I think of Pinchas Gutter, a man who lived through the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, and survived the Majdanek death camp, 'I tell my story,' Pinchas says, 'for the purpose of improving humanity, drop by drop by drop. Like a drop of waterfalls on a stone and erodes it, so, hopefully, by telling my story over and over again, I will achieve the purpose of making the world a better place to live in.' Those are the words of one survivor – performing that sacred duty of memory - that will echo throughout eternity. Those are good words for all of us to live by.”

Those words are quite fitting. As you will hear throughout this podcast, Pinchas’ message and story are powerful and unique. We also want to thank him as well as the Azrieli Foundation for their cooperation in helping us do a proper spotlight for Yom HaShoah.
