In this episode Cale talks with one of the OG NSDA China debaters in China, Kelly Chen. Kelly is a graduate of Nanjing Foreign Language School and currently works for Nike. She regularly gives back to the NSDA China community by judging, teaching, coaching and volunteering. Kelly and Cale talk about the History of NSDA China and what the future holds.

In this episode of Speaker Points Cale talks with the CEO of Debating For America's Youth; Nathan Fair.

Nathan Fair is a freshman at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He competed in debate for all four years of high school. He qualified to the NSDA National Debate Tournament as well as won the novice district tournament. His greatest accomplishment in debate has been starting his nonprofit Debating for America's Youth.

Debating for America's Youth is a nonprofit focused on providing free educational content to the Speech and Debate community. The most successful projects on the account have been interviews with Speech and Debate National Champions. On YouTube, the account has reached over 30,000 people and has 600 subscribers.

In this episode Cale interviews Amy Chen. Amy is a Shenzhen native, NSDA China Alumni, currently studying History and Economics at the University of California at Berkeley and teaching online classes for NSDA China. Cale and Amy talk about Amy's experience as a debater, her philosophy toward debate, what its like to attend college remotely and the fall NSDA China PF topic.

In this episode Cale talks with Jerry Tang. Jerry is an NSDA China Alumni who was an editor for the evidence packets for this semester. Cale & Jerry discuss the topic, possible arguments and some of the inner workings of the evidence packet.

In this episode Cale speaks with the NSDA China Nationals Public Forum Champions Victoria Fang & James Xie. They talk about what helped them become National Champions, how they prepared for the tournament, what the experience of becoming national champions was like, how their opinions changed while researching physician assisted suicide and what they think of the upcoming Fall 2020 Public Forum Resolution.

In this episode Cale interviews Gordon Peer, debate coach and member of the NSDA China academic team. Gordon Peer has most recently been the Director of Forensics at Green Canyon High School, leading them to be the top program in the Intermountain West and in the top 75 of the NSDA.  As a Diamond Coach and Utah 4A Coach of the Year, he has mentored multiple NDCA and NSDA Congress National Finalists, including 3 rd in the Country at NDCA 2014. Since 2015, he has coached multiple National Octofinalists in Policy Debate & World Schools Debate. He has been a Congressional Debate Director for several years at programs such as WSDI and BFI. As a Ten-Time State Champion Coach, he has coached Region and State Champions in Congressional Debate, Public Forum, Policy, Oratory, and Extemporaneous Speaking. In addition to competing in High School at such schools as Princeton and St. John’s, Gordon earned a degree in Law & Constitutional Studies from Utah State University, received another in Political Science Teaching from Weber State University, and attended graduate studies at Gonzaga University School of Law.

Cale & Gordon talk about the differences between China and US PF debate, how debate has shifted over the years and the values of speech and debate that transcend culture and country.
