Jose shares the spiritual and emotional journey through what he’s been through and what he’s currently going through. In the Puerto Rican culture, there Is something called “Espiritismo”. When Jose was only 10 years old his mother brought him before a “Spiritista” who told Jose and his mother that he would become addicted to drugs and go through some rough times but that he would eventually find his way out. This share is filled with hope, resilience and signs from a higher power that led Jose to get clean at 25. With the help of the 12-step program and his faith, a young man who at 20 years old was on his way to end his life, stands before us today to share his story offering hope to the still struggling addict.
