speaking of grace gardner... this week's bonus episode presented something new for the podcast as the girls dissected grace gardner's debut single! after getting over their collective superiority complexes for being among the first grace gardner fans, the girls break the song down piece by piece, delving deep into the thematic elements and metaphors hidden in the lyrics. then, they praise grace's voice and the production choices of the song, wrapping the episode up with more mentions of the indie superiority complex. grace, if you're listening, we're obsessed with you :D

speaking of future nostalgia... today's episode is about one of the biggest albums of last year, future nostalgia by dua lipa. sofia, anusha, and victoria start out with a discussion about the slightly questionable promotion used for this album and then turns to discussing some of the less necessary tracks. then, they turn to discussing tracks that they enjoy, like "physical" and "love again". the episode wraps up with appreciation for dua and what she brought to the pop industry and excitement for what's coming next. hope you enjoy :)

speaking of life support... this week, the girls dive into the world of madison beer's debut studio album, filled with themes of madison's struggles, anxiety, and heartbreak. they repeatedly praise her stunning, silky voice, even comparing it to strawberry milk at one point (but not normal milk because ew). then, they freak out about her insane wordplay and the intricate concepts woven through this masterful album. enjoy this (as always) chaotic discussion, including anusha's anger about "default" slander, victoria complaining about the lack of bridges in songs, and sofia talking about teen beach movie for way too long.

speaking of sour... in this week's episode, sofia, victoria, and anusha discuss probably the most talked about album of the year (and one of the most successful debuts ever), sour, by olivia rodrigo. they start out discussing some unpopular opinions, like what to do with "hope ur ok" and "deja vu". the discussion brightens more when discussing the various emotional attachments in this album. the episode ends with overall appreciation for this album and optimism for what's to come. hope you enjoy :)

speaking of artpop... this week's episode centers around lady gaga's third studio album, artpop. victoria, as the resident little monster, tries and fails to explain all the symbolism of each song and lyric. sofia explains her love for "venus", and victoria and anusha describe their love for "gypsy". anusha brings up her issues with the production and why she couldn't get into this album as much as others. victoria tries to spread her appreciation and attachment to gaga ballads like "dope", and the episode wraps up with love for gaga's art and hopefulness that the artpop era never dies. enjoy this chaotic discussion :) 

speaking of taylor... this week the girls decided to unveil a new mini-series, which puts two albums by the same artist head to head. starting with track one from each album, sofia, anusha, and victoria each pick one song for each “battle” done in number order based off of the track list. for this week, they take on the hot debate between swifties: folklore vs evermore. lots of difficult decisions, questionable explanations, and surprising results ensue. enjoy :)
