Join me in my conversation with Jonathan Guggenberger. Jonathan studied fine arts at Berlin's College of fine arts for a couple of years, before he moved on to pursue his passion in film. He now studies film and political science. Jonathan published his first movie earlier this year and is working on his second movie right now.
We discuss the relation between politics and film and if film should be political, Netflix and the impacts it may have on the film and its reception, particularly in different cultures.
We talk about the medium of film, and how it differs from other elements of arts, in particular the fine arts. He describes his process of creating a film, how an idea he has would sort of merge with the technicalities of film-making and talks about his own work, where he made a film about a conspiracy theorist, conspiracy theory.
