From Jack in Mass Effect to the Sole Survivor in Fallout 4 and Resident Evil 6’s Ada Wong, some of gaming’s most iconic characters all share one very familiar voice. Courtenay has voiced more than 175 video game roles, including Caiatl and Amanda Holliday in Destiny 2, Juhani in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Serina in Halo Wars, and major roles across Diablo IV, Call of Duty, and the DC and Marvel universes. You have also heard her as the Matron of Ravens on The Legend of Vox Machina, KO on OK KO Lets Be Heroes, Starla on Regular Show, and in shows like American Dad, Family Guy, and X Men ’97.

We dive into her journey through massive franchises, what it is like becoming the voice behind so many legendary characters, and her work as a voice director on AAA game titles. Courtenay also talks about NerdsVote, the nonpartisan organization she co founded that brings voter registration opportunities to pop culture conventions across the country.
