  • Episode 28: 4 Truths about Credit Cards with Danni Augustine

In this episode, Danni goes solo to talk about the oh so important topic, Credit Cards

So I absolutely felt compelled to discuss a topic of credit cards. Credit cards are such a Hot Topic in the financial world and everyone loves to argue about them while foaming at the mouth winning their fingers and getting red in the face.

This will be a healthy talk of sharing my experience as someone who for the first five years of her career, did not use credit cards. I used only a simple debit card, a checking account, and a savings account. Only within the last year have my husband and I attempted to use credit cards to our advantage.  No finger pointing, all about learning from each other to enjoy a debt-free life and also just doing the Dang thing!

  • Episode 27: The Goods on Forgiving Yourself for Student Loans with Amirra Condelee OTD, OTR/L

In this episode, we have Amirra Condelee OTD, OTR/L.  Dr. Amirra Condelee OTD, OTR/L is an Arizona-based healthcare blogger, content creator, and pediatric occupational therapist dedicated to helping fellow OTs grow in OT, faith, and finance. Amirra is passionate about two areas: financial empowerment for healthcare professionals & helping little mirracles fulfill big dreams.

Amirra has been practicing as an OT in the Early Intervention setting since graduating from MGH Institute of Health Professions in May 2019. She is the proud owner of Marvelous Mirracles Pediatric Therapy, LLC providing pediatric home health services and the face behind the Marvelous Mirracles brand created with one goal in mind: to help healthcare professionals grow, elevate, and exceed even their own expectations of themselves.

Amirra likes to say she’s an occupational therapist turned personal finance enthusiast but she is definitely both and is dedicated to teaching others about personal finance and building wealth. She believes in having the real, open, honest, and transparent conversations about money & finance that many never have in graduate school

Amirra is an executive board member for the Arizona OT Association, and helped establish the Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ad-hoc committee. As an OT with a diverse background, she recognizes the importance of advocacy and the role of occupational therapy in addressing issues, barriers, and racial health disparities affecting minority communities and participation in meaningful occupations. In her free time, Amirra enjoys cooking, reading, international and domestic travel, hiking with her dogs and husband, and spending time with family.

  • Episode 24: The Goods on Doing it Scared with Jeanne Pichoff, LOTR, IBCLC

In this episode, we have Jeanne Pichoff, LOTR, IBCLC. Jeanne is a pediatric occupational therapist and IBCLC (international board certified lactation consultant) with 17 years of experience in a variety of pediatric settings, including NICU, early intervention, and outpatient pediatrics.  Jeanne discovered a passion for infant treatment and feeding therapy early in her career.  As she began to treat more families who were struggling with breastfeeding, she realized that her training as a feeding therapist left her with a gap in knowledge, as breastfeeding was not covered extensively in any of her courses as a therapist.  This understanding, coupled with an experience struggling to breastfeed her second child, lit a fire in Jeanne to learn more about lactation in order to be able to provide comprehensive care to breastfeeding dyads.  She became a CLC (certified lactation counselor) in 2018 and an IBCLC in 2020, after years of study and clinical practice.  Jeanne opened her solo private practice, Flourish Pediatric Therapy and Lactation, in 2019, which is devoted largely to the niche practice area of infant feeding/feeding therapy and lactation support.  Jeanne is a voracious consumer of continuing education and is continually seeking to increase her clinical skills to better serve the families under her care.  She is also a provider of continuing education through the Lactation OT platform, teaching two courses geared to therapists wanting to blend the worlds of therapy and lactation, with one course on tongue ties/breastfeeding and the other on management of failure to thrive.

We chat about the pros of building your business, acquiring new skills and exploring the uncomfortable areas of your life.
