BMW Factory Driver Bill Auberlen came into The Freak Nation Sunday night to talk about the sports car record for wins, a mark currently owned by legendary driver Scott Pruett, now retired. Auberlen talked with Statt Mann at Mid-Ohio before the IMSA Weathertech race last weekend. Auberlen has been coming into The Freak Nation for nearly all of the 19 years we've been broadcasting. ARCA Talladega Winner Todd Gilliland came into The Freak Nation Sunday night with a mature attitude and conversation. At 18 he already has at least three years of racing experience in stock cars and trucks. His win in the General Tire 200 at Talladega was another step in a career that's experienced great success, more than his father, David Gilliland, had in his NASCAR career. Listen...

Comedian/Actor Lil Rel Howrey visited The Freaks this week. He's enjoying a booming career and that includes the cancellation of his TV series on FOX. Lil Rel has done several blockbuster films including Get Out, a film that earned him considerable residual money delivered with a cake by the studios. The Freaks Sunday night took us on a 2013 Freakin' Flashback with Tony Kanaan. The interview was done on Media Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway just days before Kanaan won the biggest race of his life, the Indy 500. And, as often happens with Kanaan and The Freaks, the conversation had little to do with motor racing. If you can believe it, there was a time when Kanaan, a Brazilian, wasn't sure about his English. IMSA Long Beach Bubba Burger Grand Prix Winner Joao Barbosa came into The Freak Nation Sunday night and talked about a wide racing number of topics. His race Saturday had a dramatic finish. His teammate Felipe Albuquerque had to hold off a late race charge from Ricky Taylor in an Acura. The last time Albuquerque was chased by Taylor, Ricky made a controversial pass that knocked Felipe off the track. It didn't happen this time though. Listen...
