Over the past few months, many of us had no choice but to face difficult conversations with others when dealing with diversity, racism, and the aftermath of the protests. Today's episode is a little different (definitely longer) because we feel it's important to go beyond the conversation and get into some real talk, by sharing a little education (still mixed with a little humor, our usual style) and bringing special guest C.K. Chin to the table. We love the perspective he brings to the discussion, and especially all of his humorous analogies!
We share personal stories about what we are doing to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, and cover a few of the "hot buttons" around this topic that we're sure you are familiar with from social media or real life, such as seeing color, all lives matter, and more. It's a non-threatening conversation that I think every person, whether just dipping their toes or jumping in the deep end (C.K. talks about this concept too!) will gain from and learn something new about themselves.
