The focus for this installment of The Flipside Show is on the Rockland Recording Studio.

Many Rockland natives are not even aware that there ever was a recording studio in Rockland back in the 1960s, 70s and early 80s. Located on Maverick Street (Rt. 17) in the old Legion Hall, custodian Jim Deans (a retired naval officer) owned and operated the Rockland Recording Studio for nearly 20 years... and turned out a fair number of records. Many of these records were on the Rockland label, and other recordings were nationally distributed on labels such as Tower, Critique, Laurie, and others. Among the many talented artists that recorded there were: Sonny Cardilli, Bobby Giasson, Dick Curless, Gary Meister, Bob Gebelein, The Tremolos, The Harborside Gospel Quartet, Jud Strunk, The Marauders, Don Dorsey & The Fury's, Everett Basford, Polymers Children, and MANY more!!
