Self care isn't just about eating an entire ice cream cake alone - it's about the things you do on a regular basis to take care of yourself! Identify your priorities and find ways to incorporate practices that allow you to have joy and find full wellness. Ultimately, when you care for yourself you can be more wholly present in your work with others (both in personal and professional capacities).
Flexibility is about anticipating change and preparing for it, whether it's a new role, a shift in personnel, or training for a half marathon! Listening to those around us (and ourselves) helps us to adapt and avoid a culture of burnout.
If you never challenge yourself, you never make mistakes or fail. Without failure, how can you grow and become a better leader? Failure is not an inherently bad thing. How we reflect on failure and move forward ultimately determines what kind of leader we are.
