Behind the performances of Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid, Team USA was able to pull out a 95-91 victory to advance to the Gold Medal game vs France on Saturday. August 8, 2024 ~ The debate rages on between Anthony and Fredi the Pizza Man about Jared Goff and Tua Tagovailoa. Fredi calls in to debate why Anthony believes Tua shouldn’t have been paid to his new deal with the Miami Dolphins. Then Anthony and Ryan dive into the latest suspension of former Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh and why the NCAA is now playing tough with Jim Harbaugh gone.

August 8, 2024 ~ The text lines are flooded with messages about the Lions, the Chicago Bears hype after the premier of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” and Michigan Football. West Michigan Whitecaps Play by Play announcer Dan Hasty joins the show to discuss the Tigers prospects and specifically Max Clark and Kevin McGonigle are performing with the Whitecaps since their call up to the Tigers High-A affiliate.

August 8, 2024 ~ Anthony sees a tweet from a media member about Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker and how teams will “put up” with players despite their past. Anthony dives into why Harrison Butker is the wrong athlete to use in this scenario if you look at the history of NFL athletes and their checkered pasts. Then Anthony revisits his topic from yesterday on which NFL playoff teams from the 2023 season are more likely to miss the playoffs this upcoming season.

August 7, 2024 ~ A New York Giants fan calls in to try and defend the actions of his team after another day of fights break out at the Lions/Giants joint practice. Anthony then states what your takeaway from these practices all depends on which reporters you follow. Then Anthony dives into the numbers on what it takes for an NFL team to make it to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons and finds an article that ranks which teams are more likely to make the playoffs.

August 7, 2024 ~ With Women’s Soccer and Men’s Basketball happening for Team USA yesterday in the Olympics there wasn’t much time for Ryan to watch his obscure sports but Ryan does give kudos to Cole Hocker and Gabby Thomas of Team USA Track and Field for picking up gold medals yesterday. Then Colton Pouncy (The Athletic) joins the show to share his wild ride to get to New Jersey for the Lions joint practice with the Giants.

August 7, 2024 ~ The Tigers make their way out west and beat the Seattle Mariners 4-2. Anthony shares a stat on Parker Meadows that seems too good to be true. Then Anthony and Ryan break down the Lions and Giants shared practice that once again broke out into multiple fights. The Lions and Giants will start the preseason on Thursday night and with the news of Emmanuel Moseley, Anthony is excited to see which players will emerge in the exhibition game.

August 6, 2024 ~ The Detroit Lions are hit with an injury as news breaks that Defensive Back Emmanuel Moseley suffered a torn pectoral in the Lions/Giants joint practice yesterday and will be out indefinitely. Then the discussion shifts to Michigan and the notice of allegations they were served with, and Anthony believes that fans shouldn’t come after Central Michigan and their part in the Connor Stallions scheme. Adam Rittenberg (ESPN) joins the show to break down the notice of allegations and how big of a deal these allegations are.

August 6, 2024 ~ It is time for Ryan’s Olympic Games update and Monday came with a lot of controversy in Women’s Gymnastics, Women’s Track and a sport called Steeplechase or as Ryan called it…straddle horse. In the final segment the Coach Kyle Barlow (Ohio Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach) joins the show to preview Team USA Men’s Basketball game vs Brazil that will take place on Tuesday and how the bracket is looking on the men’s side. August 6, 2024 ~ With the news of Michigan being served with a “Notice of Allegations” for the sign stealing allegations, Anthony shares his thoughts on the process and why he believes that Michigan is in the clear and won’t be severely punished. The Detroit Tigers had an off day on Monday but with the trade deadline passing the question now moves to “When will the young guys be brought up?”. Finally with the Lions and Giants having a join practice yesterday that lead to multiple shoving matches, Anthony now has some concerns about the Lions heading into the 2024-2025 NFL Season.
