Following Jesus reshapes Christian living—not just your spiritual routines, but your marriage, friendships, conversations, plans, and everyday choices. In this Season 2 finale of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, we look back on the unexpected places God invited us to surrender and grow. Join us for honest girl talk about trusting Him with what we hold tightly, walking in obedience, and discovering how He meets us in the process.
Sometimes the places where we resist Him most are the very places He's inviting us into deeper spiritual growth. Becoming more like Jesus isn't primarily found in the big spiritual moments, it's happening in the ordinary places where He's quietly asking:
“Will you let Me into this part too?”

What if we've spent so much time focused on the cost of following Jesus that we've forgotten what we're actually gaining? Following Jesus isn't simply about giving things up, leaving our old lives behind, or learning to surrender. It's about discovering that Jesus Himself is enough.
In this girl talk, we're shifting the conversation from the cost to the treasure of knowing Christ. Through Philippians 3, Matthew 13, John 10, and Psalm 16, we explore how growing closer to Jesus changes our desires—and why obedience begins to feel less like loss when we've experienced the surpassing worth of knowing Him.
In this episode, we discuss:
If you've been focused on everything following Jesus has cost you, maybe it's time to notice what you've gained. Following Jesus isn't a trade. It's a treasure. And the greatest gift He gives us is more of Himself.

What happens when following Jesus costs you something? Maybe God is asking you to surrender a relationship, a dream, a career, the approval of others, comfort, or simply the version of your life you thought you'd have. In this episode of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, we're having some honest girl talk about the cost of following Jesus and why walking in obedience to God sometimes requires letting go—even when what we're surrendering isn't bad. Discover how surrender and real sisterhood transform our walk with Jesus. Join sisters in Christ as we discuss the hard truths that deepen our faith.
If God is asking you to loosen your grip on something you love, you don't have to understand His entire plan to trust the One leading you. Surrender isn't the end of the story. In God's Kingdom, it's often where the story begins.

What happens when you're following Jesus and growing closer to God, but the friendships, invitations, and rhythms of your old life keep calling you back? In this sisterhood episode of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, we're talking about the uncomfortable in-between that can happen when God changes your desires and priorities—but the people you love haven't necessarily changed with you. How do you honor what God is doing without becoming judgmental, rejecting people you care about, or falling back into people pleasing?
Together, we explore outgrowing friendships as a Christian, navigating changing relationships with grace, and learning when God may be asking you to step back, participate differently, or simply trust Him one invitation at a time.
In this episode, we discuss:
Following Jesus isn't simply learning how to say no. It's learning to recognize His invitation above every other invitation.
If you're caught between the life that no longer fits and the life God is still unfolding, we pray this conversation helps you walk forward with wisdom, grace, and trust.

In this sisterhood episode of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, we're talking about what it really means to be set apart by God and why spiritual growth sometimes comes with unexpected loneliness and grief.
As we grow closer to Jesus, He doesn't just change our behavior—He transforms our desires, priorities, and even where we feel at home. In this episode, we discuss:
If you've been wondering why you don't feel at home in your old life anymore, maybe God isn't simply taking something away. Maybe He's inviting you into something better.

Have you ever felt like something was spiritually off, but couldn't explain why? Maybe you've been more anxious, impatient, restless, or emotionally exhausted than usual. What if those moments aren't interruptions—but invitations from God? In this temple talk episode of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, we're exploring how God often uses the ordinary moments of life to gently get our attention. Through the lens of Psalm 139:23–24, we talk about the "check engine light of the heart"—those recurring signals that something beneath the surface needs His loving attention.
Together, we discuss how to recognize these spiritual warning signs without falling into fear or self-condemnation, why God reveals what's happening in our hearts, and a simple biblical framework for bringing those places to Him.
In this episode, we discuss:
If you've been longing to grow closer to Jesus, hear His voice more clearly, and experience deeper peace, we pray this conversation encourages you to slow down, invite God into what's beneath the surface, and remember: the signal isn't the problem—the signal is the invitation.

In this episode of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, we're talking about what it actually means to hear God's voice and why biblical discernment is more relational than mystical. We also share personal stories of overthinking, wrestling with major decisions, and learning to trust God's peace instead of anxiety. Plus, we offer four practical filters to help you discern whether something is truly from the Lord.

Have you ever wanted to try biblical fasting but weren't sure where to begin? Maybe it feels intimidating, overly religious, or like something only "super spiritual" Christians do. In this episode of Spirit Filled Girl Talk, we're sharing what happened when we completed our very first 7-day fast alongside six incredible women from our Spirit-Filled Sisterhood community.
We entered the fast praying for breakthrough in our marriages, but God had something even deeper in mind. Instead of simply changing our circumstances, He lovingly revealed areas of our own hearts that needed healing, surrender, and greater trust.
Together, we unpack what fasting really is, why Jesus modeled it, and how fasting isn't about earning God's favor or manipulating an outcome. It's about removing distractions so we can draw closer to Him, hear His voice more clearly, and grow in intimacy with Jesus.
In this episode, we discuss:
If you've been longing for a deeper relationship with Jesus, we pray this conversation encourages you to create space for Him to lovingly reveal what's in your heart.

Honest girl talk on surrender, sisterhood, contentment, identity in Christ, walking in obedience, abiding in Christ, trusting God more deeply, and being discipled by friendship. Top 5% Globally Ranked Podcast.
Does your walk with Jesus look more like striving than surrender? Are you exhausted from trying to figure everything out on your own — and ready to finally trust God more fully? Do you long to abide in Christ… to grow in contentment… to walk in obedience with confidence as you're following Jesus? And have you been quietly praying for real, Spirit-filled friendships to walk it out with?
If so — you’re not alone.
Welcome to Spirit Filled Girl Talk — the podcast for women who are done with surface-level faith and friendship, and are hungry for deeper intimacy with God and authentic Christian sisterhood that calls you up (not out). Together, we explore what it looks like to live Christ-centered instead of culturally-driven — and we want to invite you into the kind of sisterhood God uses to disciple you and strengthen your faith.
We are Sarah Phillipe and Satin Pelfrey — best friends turned co-hosts, brought together by the Holy Spirit and refined through wilderness seasons where we experienced God's faithfulness.
Like many women, we once believed we needed to strive, perform, and get everything “right” in order to maintain our salvation and be used by God. We believed productivity equaled purpose and that busyness was obedience — until God gently showed us the beauty of surrender. A life not rooted in performance, but in living from His love rather than for His love. He showed us that He redeems it all — that nothing is wasted. That even our suffering is used for our sanctification and His glory. That true contentment is found in abiding in Christ. And that lasting joy flows from the truth that we are fully known and deeply loved by God.
As our friendship grew, we experienced the power of true Spirit-filled friendship. The kind where iron sharpens iron — where women point one another back to Jesus, pray together, encourage one another, and remind each other of their identity in Christ. Now we’re inviting you into those same conversations.
If you’ve been longing for girl talk that is both honest and Spirit-led — you’ve found your people. We're here to help you live wholly, walk boldly, and cultivate life-giving Sisterhood with Jesus at the center of it all.
So pour your coffee, open your heart, and pull up a seat. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll walk away filled — not just inspired — with truth that transforms.
Because this isn’t small talk.
It’s Spirit Filled Girl Talk.
