Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church Orlando FL

We like to assume that the way we think things are is the way things actually are. Jesus comes to us and flips the world as we know it on its head. Christ disrupts our very way of thinking and offers us a way of living that allows us to truly live.

Jesus is known as many things: The Messiah, Immanuel, King of Kings, Prince of Peace, Lamb of God, The Good Shepherd, The Bread of Life, the Word of God among many other names. Who is Jesus to you? The answer to that question matters; it matters so incredibly much. It is one of the most important questions you’ll ever answer.

We like to talk about our faithfulness to God (or lack thereof) but seldom do we discuss the faithfulness of God. Although we stumble in our faith constantly, God’s faithfulness never waivers

Guest Preacher Pastor Don Erickson shares a very important message on what it looks like to give from the heart.

It’s very rare that we find a miserable generous person. In fact, most of the people that we view as generous people are joyful generous people. What does it look like for you to have a transformed heart; a heart formed as a generous heart? You’ll come to find that giving isn’t a burden, but rather a transformative joy!

Have you ever worried that you worry too much? Fear, panic, anxiety, stress and worry can be crippling in your life. Jesus says before you even think about stepping into the realms of worry, make sure you’re putting the first things first.

Although most of us aren’t literal slaves, there are still things we find ourselves slaves to. Sometimes we get stuck in bad habits, toxic relationships, and the weight of sin (among many other things). When Christ calls us to be free, we need to know it and believe it! We are called to step boldly into freedom with a purpose!

Guest Preacher Bob Berger shares the ministry FOOD FOR THE POOR with our congregation

This goes way beyond, "New Year, New You!"  This has to do with a new life entirely. Forget who you were, in Christ you are a brand new creation!  Let's start off 2018 not just excited for a new year, but ecstatic to walk with Jesus in a new life!
