Have you noticed how you feel after you interact with others? For instance, do you feel excited and energized or perhaps drained and depleted? There is a frequency in how you connect with others…it’s our internal sensing meter and we all have it. Although, sometimes we don’t pay attention to it or simply forget that we have it. 

In relationships, we can subconsciously gravitate towards people that are experiencing the same emotions as we are…the good, the bad, and the ugly! A problem can arise when this turns into a dependency on our suffering where we find others that are also in that space so we can share the emotion. 

This is when it is important to become aware of our sensing meter and how we feel internally after interacting with these people. If you are feeling deflated, it’s time to move away from that relationship as this type of relationship keeps us stuck and not growing and evolving.

Sometimes we tend to shortchange ourselves - if I don’t have money then I am not abundant.

But is that true?

In our society, with our attention being taken in multiple directions, we sometimes forget that we as humans are abundant. We have the ability to give our full presence and attention to people

Sometimes, I forget that people want to be seen and heard

When you can focus on helping someone else, something magical happens - you forget that you are stressed out. I had this experience when I just wanted to help someone who was hungry to change. 

Turns out the gift was actually for both of us

When we are unaware of how we are feeling, we don’t understand that other people can pick up on that. 

I want you to learn how to become aware of how you are feeling and self-regulate to tap into the abundant side of yourself.

I don’t know about you but I used to wait for a difficult event to happen before I would allow myself to change or have a personal transition. But I found that this was truly exhausting and it just didn’t need to be. I want to share with you some things that I learned in regards to this — as change does not have to be hard. 

There are times when we can feel as if we are at a crossroads and just don’t know which way to go but there is always a part of you that truly knows the next step or the change that needs to happen to move forward. 

You will need to do some work to tap into this but we all have the ability to know what’s best for us. There is a way to connect within ourselves to that knowing and I have been able to do this. I am now able to listen to the part of me that knows.

Transformation is possible for everyone. The key is surrendering and allowing the process to happen. It takes making the decision to overcome…overcome, overcome, until you become someone else.   

My guest Christina and I talk about the day we met and the instant connection we had. It was at a Gina DeVee event (if you don’t know who Gina is, you can read more about her here) and my soul felt drawn to her. I knew I had to meet her as she had this energy, this essence about her.

I was very much led by spirit to hold a figurative mirror up to her and reflect to her how I saw her and how the world sees her. In our conversation, she admits to not seeing herself that way and even placed parts of herself and her life hidden away in a box.

Christina shares how our encounter, as well as the experience of the event, has really evolved the way she sees and speaks to herself. It was a transformational moment and had a massive impact on both of us.

Hello Listeners! I just wanted to express my gratitude for you being here for Season 3!

For the final episode of this season, I wanted to give you some take home tips if you want to change

Here are some of the basics: you feel heavy and stuck because you are experiencing survival emotions. They are familiar to you because you experienced them as a child. Our brains didn’t have the analytical facilities to know that what we were experiencing was not the only thing in the World.

And you survived your childhood so oddly enough that is safe for you 

If you don’t address the emotions, you will not evolve and you will create the same experiences wherever you go (trust me on this or even reflect for yourself) 

So how to get out of this quickly?

Play a different game! 

It’s called quantum physics! The rules of this game have to do with possibility

If you are stuck it's because you are not open to possibilities and you are hyper focused on one thing worrying about it happening

I am sharing with you today more information and detail about our topic in yesterday’s episode, childhood trauma. Which has become more mainstream these days, especially through this pandemic.

In dealing with the trauma we develop core wounds and those wounds create an emotional branding that keeps us tied to the past. And this can oddly feel safe because it’s all we know and is familiar which can keep us recreating the same experiences over and over.  

I believe it’s so important to stop just talking about your past but instead step into your future and uncover who you are and overcome your trauma.

OK, we are broaching the topic of childhood trauma as this often comes up in my clarity calls and in working with my clients. It’s definitely becoming more common in life discussions. 

When a person experiences trauma, a certain part of their brain takes over that triggers the “fight or flight” response meant to protect us from danger. 

We can often hold trauma in and not talk about it or we can get stuck in a pattern and let it define us…but the emotions will catch up to us and resurface. 

Trauma isn't something you can just get over quickly— it requires patience and self-acceptance. You need to thoroughly process your emotions to overcome your trauma. A good place to start is by practicing emotional awareness and self-care.

You know from yesterday’s episode that I talked about emotional latency periods. What I saw modeled for me was long emotional latency periods and I thought that was normal..

When fear, anger, resentments, hatred, are in your face, they can seem so real! I didn’t know that I could do anything about them and I would go through periods of being conscious and then being a victim again

In order to get out of this loop and create consistency, I turned to my spiritual connection. I have connected to source and 3 traits of this powerful energy became so clear and have been integral in helping me overcome my emotions and my programming.

They qualities are: loving, mindful and willful

Willful is the one I personally needed to embody and I did that learning to self regulate my emotions

Do you know what motivates you to do anything?

The end product of any experience is an emotion

Emotions run the show in a sense because our emotional state affects our thoughts and our thoughts affect our emotions 

However, it's our emotions that keep us tied to the past - through something called an emotional latency period. Basically if you do not know how to self regulate, the emotion will go unprocessed and create havoc in your life. We just adjust to that havoc over time

But you know from time to time those difficult emotions pop up and remind you of their presence

In today’s episode I share with you what I learned and why this is important to address right now!

Last week, I talked about healing and heart coherence. And I’ve been researching spontaneous healings much like when I healed my ‘nose problem’ during my meditation one day as I shared in this episode.

Today, I start talking about the pillars of healing and the importance of your internal emotional state. Are you aware that our emotional state actually dictates how we receive information? Our emotional state needs to match the thoughts and information being let in for it to be accepted.
