Spiritual and Ambitious with Whitney McNeill

Have you ever gotten messages from your Guides that repeated themselves over and over that you just couldn’t make sense of logically. Today we’re going to talk about how this exact situation is showing up in my life and what that is going to mean for the podcast. 

Why We Resist Our Intuitive Messages 

Most often we resist our messages due to ego.  Maybe we don't think it can possibly be the right guidance because it logically doesn’t make sense and our ego doesn’t want to not be in control.  Or maybe we just plain don’t like what the message has to say.  

What To Do When Your Intuitive Message Go Against Your Logic 

What do you do when you “think” you are following the messages and guidance you are receiving yet you continue to get the same instruction from your Guides? You think how can this still be the message?  I’m already doing what you are telling me I need to do. This is where we need to get curious with our Guides.  We need to ask them those specific clarifying questions to get to the core of the message and stop second guessing that your interpretation is right. 

Why It Is Important To Get Clear On Your No’s 

When you get clear energetically on the things you know are NOT in alignment, you can set healthy and reasonable boundaries that support the messages you are receiving. Remember no doesn’t have to mean never, it can mean just not right now. Just because it's not a match energetically right now you can ask your Guides to provide this type of opportunity again when your energy is refilled and you are closer vibrationally to the possibilities it might hold. 

Ways To Stop Resisting Your Messages 

One of the best things you can do if you feel resistance to a certain message is to slow down.  Allow that message to fully come in. Stop trying to fill in the blanks and force it to make sense in your current scenarios. Slow down, back up from it and let the message “simmer” for a while without expectation of how it will resolve. Resistance comes from the feeling of lack of control.  When you consciously release the need to control, usually the parts and pieces of the message you are resisting are able to come up to the surface. 

 When you are truly following your intuitive messages you are always on the right path. It may not make sense today, but future you will see how everything came together in Divine order and timing.  Here’s to staying Spiritual and Ambitious.

We are all spiritual beings having a human experience. That means we go through certain cycles. Today we talk to Michelle Leigh about what is collectively coming through to be released right now and the 3 most commonly blocked chakras. 

How To Know Reiki Is Working When You’re Analytical 

This comes down to the mind-body connection. How you speak to yourself and how you think go a long way into “feeling” this work energetically outside of the logical mind. You also can’t deny the outcomes that you experience.  

What the 7 Chakras Are and Their Purpose 

Chakra is the Sanskrit word for wheel or circle and represents the spinning energy centers in the body (or chakras).  We have 7 of these main energy centers located in the human body. The Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown.  Michelle goes on to explain where these are located and what aspects each one governs. 

The 3 Most Commonly Block Chakras 

Michelle shares the “Trifecta” of issues she is currently seeing being collectively expressed in her clients. Recently she is seeing the same trinity of chakras being affected as a group. She believes the collective experience of childhood trauma and certain societal pressures have played a part in the systematic blockage of these same chakras in much of the population. 

How Often to Get a Reiki or Chakra Balancing Session 

Michelle provides her perspective on the frequency of sessions, but emphasizes that consistent personal energetic hygiene is critical. Checking in periodically checking in with your body to see if you are feeling heavy or stagnant in any particular area. Grounding and clearing rituals can help alleviate these symptoms in between energetic sessions. 

Symptoms of a Blocked Chakra and How to Unblock It 

Michelle gives some very specific methods you can use to determine if you have a block and where the block might be depending on the symptom itself.  For instance, sometimes if you feel more clumsy or off balance than usual there may be an energetic mis-balance in your root chakra system (barring any specific medical intervention needed of course). 

What to Expect During a Chakra Balancing Session 

The most important part of any energy session is connection. We need to establish the connection about what you are experiencing and what you believe you want to work on. You may also experience some buzzing or tingling sessions as you begin to experience the Reiki energy flowing through your system. There may also be some intuitive messages from your Spirit Guides that come through.  Each experience is unique to the individual and what it is their system requires at that time.

The Benefits of Mediation if Your Fall Asleep 

There is no specific benefit. But there also is no detriment!! Falling asleep is just your body getting into its most receptive state. It allows you to just experience the meditation while releasing control and expectation. 

What Happens When You Cannot Follow Along or “Black Out” During the Guided Meditation 

Many people think if they lose focus and “miss” a section (or almost all) of a guided meditation that they are doing something wrong.  Actually it is just the opposite. Typically this is an indication that you went deep into trance or were working directly with your Guides in some other deep way. 

What To Do If You Cannot Be Still During Your Meditation 

Sometimes we are in such a state of constant motion that our minds and bodies seem to no longer understand “be still”. You know that feeling when you know an intuitive message is right there, but you just can’t get it to come through clearly.  Does this mean that you need to work more on your intuition and connection? Today we are talking about a topic that is getting much more attention lately. With the idea of mental health gaining importance a lot of people are realizing the uniqueness in the way they think and navigate the world. Neurodivergence, ADHD specifically, would obviously have an affect on how you receive intuitive messages. We have Chandra Arrington with us for this episode. She is a previous student who has had to navigate this very challenge. 

This episode is not intended to diagnose or prescribe medical conditions. We are not licensed healthcare professionals. This is a story about one woman’s journey with neurodivergence and intuition. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns or questions. 

Why It Can Be More Challenging for Channelers to Connect 

It’s more challenging for channelers in general to connect because there is no tangible result of the message. You didn’t see or hear anything. You didn’t get an emotional response from seemingly nowhere.  You just know things. Since we are born intuitive most channelers have been doing this their entire lives and don’t realize its intuition. Neurodivergence can make connecting to that knowing or “gut feeling” more difficult because of the hyperactivity in their mind. It makes it more difficult for them to be present in their bodies to experience that feeling. 

ADHD Symptoms That May Affect How You Receive Messages 

By the very definition of neurodivergent it stands to reason that cognition is going to be different for the “neuro-person”. When the hyperactivity of ADHD shows up as inner chatter of the mind that can’t be turned off, it makes for very little room for clear intuitive messages to come in. Chandra also shares how some other adhd characteristics affect intuition. 

Best Tips To Get Clear Intuitive Messages If You’re Neurodivergent 

The biggest tip for the Channeler is to trust. Trust your guides are they and that they are guiding you even if you don’t sense or receive anything in the moment.  Channelers are often more physical and get messages when in motion. Listen as Chandra shares how it felt when she realized she actually was getting intuitive messages and how they were coming in. 

How To Deal With Feeling Like You Don’t Get Intuitive Messages 

Just as Whitney teaches, consistency is a key aspect of successfully connecting with your Guides. Even though you may not get the message immediately you can work with your Guides to make sure it happens in other ways. Your messages start to come in other ways. Something a stranger says at the grocery store, an article comes across your path that is about the very topic you were asking your Guides about.  Be consistent with connecting and trust they will provide you the answer some-way, some-how when the answer is needed.

Most often if you see an orb whatever you think it means (first thought that occurs) is usually what it means.  It can be a call to stop and talk with your Spirit Guides, or it could be a quick wink from Grandma Ruby who stopped by to say hi. 

What Questions to Ask When You See an Orb 

Most often you’ll get a feeling about why you’re seeing the orb. Just lean into that feeling. That’s your intuition. Ask questions based on that feeling. If you feel the orb is just your Guides saying hello, acknowledge them and thank them for visiting. Then just ask if there was any message or just a visit.

Whitney and Brenda share a story of stargazing in the backyard and the lights that appeared to them. Listen to find out what they were doing right before, that they believed called the lights in. If you’ve found yourself struggling to tell those people important to you that you are intuitive or received an intuitive message, in this episode Whitney discusses some ideas on how best to communicate about your gift. 

The Deeper Reason It Feels Awkward To Tell People You Are Intuitive 

Sharing the fact that you are intuitively connected should be something to be celebrated. However, not everyone is as open to the topic of intuition and things can get awkward. There are many reasons why it feels this way. There may be some wound you carry that inhibits you from speaking freely on the topic.  

How To Tell Your Spouse and Family You Are Intuitive 

Clear communication is necessary in any healthy relationship. If your spouse is not as woo as you, you’ll need to explain your intuition to them in terminology they will receive and understand. Whitney gives some great examples. Including some beautiful ways to protect your energy in these types of conversations. 

What To Say When You Have an Intuitive Message For Someone 

Again it may be best to put the message into words the person will accept and understand.  One example is when you say “I feel like you should….” the person may accept it is only you providing an opinion vs you delivering an intuitive message. 

How To Handle Telling Groups You Are Intuitive 

Sometimes it’s helpful to start out with more general terms to do a “vibe” check to see if the person you are speaking with is even interested in the topic of intuition. This way you get to determine how much energy you put into explaining about what you do or not. Whitney shares some beautiful ways to protect your energy in these types of conversations.
