The Spirit of God had been promised to God's people for centuries and all throughout the Old Testament. On the feast of Pentecost in Acts 2, the Holy Spirit finally came. Ever since the Holy Spirit has been acting in and through those who follow Jesus. The expression of the Holy Spirit is first and foremost, the existence of faith in Jesus Christ. Another expression is through Spiritual Gifts, unique giftings to help one love and serve their neighbor as well as expand the Kingdom of God. Spiritual Gifts are not for the glory of the individual, but the glory of God.
