In the opening week of Habakkuk: How Long, O Lord?, we meet a prophet who dares to voice what many of us quietly feel: “God, where are you?” In Habakkuk 1:1-11, surrounded by injustice and suffering, Habakkuk cries out in honest frustration over what seems like God’s silence. His words invite us into a faith that is not neat or easy, but real and wrestling. Here we begin to discover that God is not threatened by our questions—he meets us in them and draws us into deeper trust, even when his ways sometimes don’t make sense.

Isaiah announces that the light has already begun to shine, and Jesus declares that the Kingdom of God has come near. But if that’s true, why do we miss it so often? This Sunday, we’ll learn how to open our eyes to what God is already doing around us. His Kingdom isn’t far away—it’s breaking into the ordinary rhythms of daily life. As we learn to see the light that’s already shining, we’re invited to live with expectancy, availability, and faithfulness.

Everything today is competing for our attention—and most of it leaves us more drained than fulfilled. Scripture names something we all feel but rarely say out loud: much of what we chase never truly satisfies. This week, we’ll name the challenge of living in a distracted world and hear a different kind of invitation from Jesus. Instead of striving harder, he invites us to come and rest. As we learn to pay attention to God, we discover a deeper peace, a renewed sense of wholeness, and a living hope in God’s work of restoring and renewing all things.

God doesn’t leave us wondering where he can be found. Scripture gives us clear promises: God meets us in his Word, in Sacraments, in Jesus Christ, and in the gathered Church. And yet the same Christ who reveals the invisible God also fills all things and holds all things together. This Sunday, we’ll explore the beautiful mystery that the God we encounter in worship is also present in the ordinary moments of our everyday lives.

What if God is closer than you think? Not just in church or in quiet moments of prayer, but in the everyday rhythms of your life—the roads you travel, the rooms you step into, the conversations you’re trying to pay attention to. Scripture shows us again and again that God meets his people in ordinary places. This Sunday, we begin a new series, Near & Now: Everyday Encounters with God, as we learn to live with our eyes open to the God who is already near.

God the Father, Maker of heaven and earth, re-creates for us a new life in Jesus Christ through the work of his Holy Spirit. As we celebrate Trinity Sunday, we recognize God’s Trinitarian story as a story of love, grace and power for our salvation and the salvation of others who do not know him. This week, we conclude our “All for One, One for All” sermon and Life Group series with a look at the one who started it all and how he means for us to continue to grow in our trust in him. As we are called to “know him better” in all respects of faith and practice, let us turn our hearts to the one who gave us the Son and the Spirit!

However it happened, the outcome of Jesus leaving Earth in this way was NOT for transportation to Heaven. It was for his exaltation by the Father and for our transformation, through the work of the Spirit. Join us as we celebrate Jesus’ power to conquer death, and then in being “lifted up,” to empower and release us to live on mission for him!

Throughout this series, we’ve discovered something simple but powerful: Jesus asks questions not to test us, but to draw us closer. He asks about our grief. He asks about our belief. He asks about our love. He asks about our trust. And now he asks about our desire. Every question leads to the same place — a deeper relationship with him. If you’ve missed the previous weeks, you haven’t missed the invitation. The risen Christ is still speaking. And his questions are not meant to expose you — they are meant to call you into new life.
