Our relationship with God through faith in Jesus is central to everything we as people of faith we hold dear: life, salvation, identity, purpose, health, and strength for living. Because of that truth, the way Jesus relates to us as God’s people sets the tone for how we are called and equipped in faith to relate to each other. Beginning with the basic building blocks of family—marriage and intentional child-raising—we have the chance to see God at work in our everyday lives. Join us as we explore God’s grace as it shines through the roles in life he has made for us: spouse, parent, grandparent, child, family, friend.

In uncertain seasons, it can feel as though God is distant or silent. But Scripture tells a steadier story. Even when the earth shakes, the psalmist declares, “The Lord Almighty is with us,” and Jesus says the Kingdom of God is already in our midst. This Sunday, we return to our Near & Now series after a short break and revisit this simple but powerful truth: God is still near. As we learn to live attentively in the middle of waiting, we’ll discover that faithfulness is not about having all the answers, but about trusting the God who remains with us—here and now.

As we conclude the Habakkuk: How Long, O Lord? series, we arrive at one of the most powerful confessions of faith in all of Scripture. In Habakkuk 3:16-19, nothing has changed in Habakkuk’s circumstances—loss, uncertainty, and hardship still loom. Yet something has changed within him. With bold and defiant trust, he declares: Even if everything falls apart… yet I will rejoice in the Lord. This is the faith God forms in us…not a faith built on circumstances, but a faith anchored in who he is.

As we continue in the series Habakkuk: How Long, O Lord?, the tone shifts from questioning to prayer. In Habakkuk 3:1-15, Habakkuk turns his focus from present confusion to God’s past faithfulness. In the midst of fear and uncertainty, he remembers who God is and what God has done. This prayer invites us to anchor our faith not in what we see, but in the God who has always been at work—saving, delivering, and keeping his promises.

As we continue in with the Habakkuk: How Long, O Lord? series, the focus shifts from the prophet’s questions to God’s justice. In Habakkuk 2:6-20, God pronounces a series of “woes” against the evil and injustice that seem to dominate the world. These words remind us that God is neither blind to sin nor indifferent to it. In a world filled with greed, violence, and idolatry, we are called to see things as God sees them…and to trust that he will ultimately make all things right.

As we continue in the Habakkuk: How Long, O Lord? series, the prophet’s struggle deepens. In Habakkuk 1:12-2:5, God has answered, but not in a way that brings comfort. Instead, Habakkuk wrestles with a difficult question: How can a holy God use unholy means? As he waits and watches for God’s response, we are drawn into the tension between understanding and trust. Here we hear one of Scripture’s most important declarations: “The righteous shall live by faith.” In a world that doesn’t always make sense, God calls us not to figure everything out, but to trust him.

In the opening week of Habakkuk: How Long, O Lord?, we meet a prophet who dares to voice what many of us quietly feel: “God, where are you?” In Habakkuk 1:1-11, surrounded by injustice and suffering, Habakkuk cries out in honest frustration over what seems like God’s silence. His words invite us into a faith that is not neat or easy, but real and wrestling. Here we begin to discover that God is not threatened by our questions—he meets us in them and draws us into deeper trust, even when his ways sometimes don’t make sense.

Isaiah announces that the light has already begun to shine, and Jesus declares that the Kingdom of God has come near. But if that’s true, why do we miss it so often? This Sunday, we’ll learn how to open our eyes to what God is already doing around us. His Kingdom isn’t far away—it’s breaking into the ordinary rhythms of daily life. As we learn to see the light that’s already shining, we’re invited to live with expectancy, availability, and faithfulness.

Everything today is competing for our attention—and most of it leaves us more drained than fulfilled. Scripture names something we all feel but rarely say out loud: much of what we chase never truly satisfies. This week, we’ll name the challenge of living in a distracted world and hear a different kind of invitation from Jesus. Instead of striving harder, he invites us to come and rest. As we learn to pay attention to God, we discover a deeper peace, a renewed sense of wholeness, and a living hope in God’s work of restoring and renewing all things.
