Ephesians 5:3-14. We are to imitate God, just as little boys love to imitate their fathers. This message is about how we imitate God in relationship to the world. We are in the world but not of the world--and that is not a cliche. (October 10, 1980)

Ephesians 4:12-16. In this message we learn the purpose for the provision that God gives us for unity through spiritual gifts: God gave pastor-teachers for the equipping of the saints to do a job that needs to be done. What equips us? The Word of God. (September 21, 1980)

Ephesians 4:7-11. Unity is the theme of Ephesians 4:1-16. This message looks at verses 7-11, which discuss the provision of spiritual gifts from God for that unity. These gifts are God-given abilities for service. As Christians, we don't just hang out here on earth until God takes us home. Rather, He saved us for a purpose; we all have God-given jobs to do. Verse 7: Presentation of gifts. Verses 8-10: Christ's privilege to give those gifts. Verse 11: The people to whom the gift is given. (September 14, 1980)

Ephesians 4:1-6. This starts the second half of Ephesians. The first half is about doctrine. Now Paul is going to teach us how to live in light of that doctrine. This sermon covers the first of four things in the remaining chapters: Conduct of Unity, Conduct of Purity, Conduct of Ministry, and Ministry of Victory. (September 7, 1980)

Ephesians 3:14-21. The second prayer in Ephesians is a prayer that they would live what they know to be true--a prayer for spiritual needs. This stands in contrast to many of our prayers which focus on physical needs. Paul prays for spiritual strength, spiritual security, and spiritual satisfaction. (July 20, 1980)

Ephesians 3:1-13. The mystery is that Jew and Gentile are one body and now Paul expounds on that. He talks about the meaning of the mystery (verses 1-6) and his role as the minister (verses 7-13). (July 13, 1980)
