A lot of us fall into the trap of taking a mentor or role model and putting them on a pedestal. We allow our own inner voice to be silenced because the information is not coming from an "expert". After reading this in a Danielle LaPorte book (White Hot Truth), "Be your own Guru", I really started believing more in myself and stopped taking another's word as the gospel.
