Episode Title: Purpose In The Sifting

In this week's episode, Alicia leads us through a powerful reflection on Luke chapter 22 and the profound moment when Jesus warns Peter of the impending "sifting." We explore themes of identity, spiritual testing, and God's greater purpose, even in seasons of shaking. Alicia uncovers the deeper significance of the Upper Room, the difference between Simon and Peter, and how moments of challenge reveal our true faith.

Key references & resources:

• Luke 22: Jesus warns Peter—“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat… but I have prayed for you.”

• Genesis 1:28 on dominion and authority.

• Psalms 145:13, Ephesians 2:4, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25—promises of God’s dominion and intercession.

• 1 Corinthians 10:12; Galatians 6:1-3—Paul on humility and supporting each other.

• Hebrews 11:6; 1 Peter 1:6-7—the value of faith refined by trials.

• Genesis 50:20—Joseph’s declaration: “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”

• Psalm 73:26—“But God is the strength of my heart…”

Are you feeling “sifted” in this season? Let this episode encourage you that every season of shaking is an invitation to deeper faith and surrender. Remember: But God.
