In the this podcast episode, I interview Nate Allen. Nate is a husband, father, friend, mystic, writer, and songsmith based in Kansas City, who has been touring the US since 2004. He toured a punk rock band for a decade, Destroy Nate Allen, and his newest endeavor is Good Saint Nathaniel. The project debut, Hide No Truth, has been hailed by critics as “an introspective masterwork” (IDIOTEQ) and “an earnest, melancholic, and impossible to forget album” (SpinDitty). Nate grew up in a challenging Christian environment which included various forms of spiritual abuse and workaholism. His lyrics dive deep into his journey of disillusionment and hope. In addition to his singing and songwriting career, he is currently studying to become a licensed therapist.
