In this episode, Pete and John bring back recurring guest and recent Macalaster graduate Sam Rosevear to talk about one of our favorite directors, the legendary Christopher Nolan. In chronological order of his career (special exception for the Batman trilogy), Nolan’s complete filmography is discussed, highlighting how his style has evolved over time. Also discussed is Nolan’s proclivity to work with other geniuses in the industry (i.e. his storied relationship with Hans Zimmer) and his relentless pursuit of stunning visuals and abstract concepts. At the end, we each rank Nolan’s filmography from worst-to-best, revealing some interesting differences of opinion as to what stands out among his works.
