Don't call it a comeback when the Synics have been here since the year 2018...damn that's a long time to be doing podcasts.
Witness the triumphant return of the Split Screen Synics doing what they do best, playing games and talking about them. We played Hi Fi Rush and talked about it. It's the comfort food you didn't know you missed until it was gone.
We're back babeee!

It's a bittersweet one with episode 83 - We finally get around to talking about Death's Door, the amazing indie title by developer Acid Nerve that is an all around gem of a game, but as it turns out this episode becomes something of a swan song for the current Synics team. It's kind of fitting in a way that it is Garrett and Berto talking Death's Door - the genesis of the Synics back in 2018 was this pair and it's only grown from there.
Come for the always fun game talk, stay for the nostalgia and weepy send off. It isn't "Good Bye", it's a "See Ya Later"

Shan and Berto take over this episode in an all Latin America hosted Split Screen Synics just in time for Hispanic Heritage month - Actually we really missed Garrett and Tim but they were unable to make the episode this time around, we didn't exclude them.
It's been a busy past two weeks with just a few games played, but that didn't stop the news cycle from churning- Rumors of a 4K Nintendo Switch are again circulating, PlayStation adds more to their first party studio arsenal, and Konami is...making games again?
This is just a few things we discuss in this episode - come for the news, stay for Shan and Berto.

We're coming at you a day late because of corrupted sound files, technical issues, and a host of other maladies from the powers that be who tried to deny you of your Synical goodness; that can't stop the Synics! We put together Frankenstein's monster of an episode - it actually sounds purty good - where we talk about Garrett and Tim's take on Devotion, Shan not happy about paying money for 12 minutes, and Berto talking about how he thinks Death's Door is a contender for his person GoTY.
In the news we dissect the Playstation Showcase of awesome games, and look into Twitch finally doing something about hate raids - oh and shitty company Activision Blizzard is still shitty...but that's not really news now is it?

We had a huge storm in the NY area that caused some major damage and flooding - Garrett and Tim weren't able to join us for this recording unfortunately, but the show must go on with means that you get all latine episode with the two South American hosts. Shan and Berto guide this creaky ship and bring into port with all their best video game takes
With spoopy season coming up soon, Shan picked an appropriate game for the time of year to talk about for Game Club. We take a deep dive into Red Candle Games' psychological thriller 'Devotion' and give our impressions with our playthroughs. You definitely want to listen in on this one - before diving into it, we talk a little bit about some of the games we're playing and Berto shares some news...

We have a full panel of hosts back! Garrett is back and realizes how much he misses the rest of us despite his replacement avatar polling well with listeners. We missed Garrett and it's nice to have all 4 Synics back together to talk games.
Before diving into Everhood (which Berto insists on calling Everwood...the real ones will know) the Synics take some time to talk about the ongoing lawsuit between the state of California and Activision Blizzard. It's important to make sure the discourse around this doesn't die out as part of the regular news cycle and that we make sure to keep those in charge accountable - The Synics stand with the employees of Activision Blizzard.
Following up with that is our deep dive into Tim's pick for Gameclub which is the lovely and charming rhythm game published by Foreign Gnomes and Surefire Game. A lovely little gem of a game that has some crazy moments and music that really slaps. Listen in to see what we have to say.

Shan has come back to the show!!!!
After her move west Shan has returned to the virtual couch to talk to us about all things video games. The Synic community missed her so it was nice to have have her back to talk about all the usual synic things.
We talk about that new AC live service strategy for their their games, Nintendo doing nintendo things and getting away with it and some crazy video game cartridges selling for obscene prices. Oh yeah and Berto's son acts a fool so he steps away for a bit (kids am I right?)

Man it's been hot lately, but that won't stop the Synics from doing what they do best...talk about random things and THEN video games! This episode is dope as always so get ready for some good listening. Also there was a bit in the middle where dropped internet lead to some audio funky stuff, but I think we made it work.
Enjoy!

It's back to the duo that started it all. Garret and Berto are helming this episode of SSS with Tim taking a breather with his hectic work week and with Shan in the middle of a move. We're talking Skul which was Berto's pick for the Gameclub. It was a charming little demo that was played at PAX East before the world went into lockdown and now that the game has a full release, do the Synics still feel as charmed about it now as when they first played it?
download, listen and see what we think. Also give us 5 stars
